Design Process

Architectural Services are typically provided in stages. These are as follows:

The Initial Meeting

A Design Brief will be developed based on the client’s requests given in this meeting for the proposed design.

Schematic Drawing Stage

Based on the Design Brief approved by the client, floor plans showing a basic layout of proposal are prepared along with concept images of the proposed design.

Design Development Stage

During this stage, the design is further refined with care given to the location of furniture, fixtures and finishes. Some of the drawings included in this deliverable are: Site Plans, Floor Plans, Elevations, and 3D Renders of interior and exterior. During this stage, we may also contact potential consultants such as the Structural Engineer and Civil Engineer.

Construction Drawings Stage

The drawings completed in this phase are required for approval and construction. Drawings are completed for submission to the approval bodies and for the use of the quantity surveyor and the contractor / builder.

Site / Contract Administration (Optional)

The Architect will monitor progress and verify adherence to the construction drawings during construction through regular site visits and site meetings.
